Ratatouille is a distribution dedicated to the production of animated movies and was created by La Ménagerie. It is used to create any kind of animation (two dimensions, drawing or vectorial, three dimensions or volume). It covers the whole process of production: from shooting, via sound and editing to publication.

The Garbure project started with Ratatouille, and it forms its historical and technical origin. It was initially created to distribute the stop motion shooting software Myrtille created by La Ménagerie, and was then modularized to provide a base for the development of the other dedicated ditributions included in Garbure.
