Burek is a distribution dedicated to the production of audiovisual "live" performances. It is intended for video-jockeys, disc-jockeys and can be used to produce interactive spectacles.

Burek was born during the HAIP festvial created by Kiberpipa in Ljubljana in June 2004. During this festival authors of audiovisuals and/or interactive software like PiDiP (Hackitectura), pakt or myrtille joined their efforts to produce this dedicated distribution.
